COMEDY
What’s funnier than a grandma walking away from an explosion? The answer is simple –two grandmas walking away from an explosion. This is the heart of our comedic process, the classic dynamic duo. Many duos consist of an opposing dynamic. Good cop, bad cop, the straight man and the funny man. Our duo is not this. Our duo is a pair of equally caliente grannies. Instead, their age is juxtaposed by their behaviour.
We want our belief to be suspended by the concept of two abuelas giving chase to a fit young man frantically drifting a Prius away from the squealing tires of their mobility scooters. A staccato of action and flamenco guitars narrates the scramble over the object of their collective desire – the last bag of chips. From the aisles of the local tienda, to the height of a brownstone, the villain cannot escape the justice which pursues. The elevator provides a brief respite, strong steel doors abating the wrath of the grandmas. Suddenly, an improvised zipline crafted from a lonesome Razor scooter and the ingenuity of the elderly provides an expeditious descent.
Through a barrage of bracing and outrageous action, we will grab our viewers' attention and keep them there. We want the audience to walk away feeling like they have just witnessed a mix of The Golden Girls and a Mission Impossible film.

AIRLINE
Our story revolves around two sisters in their thirties - Carly and Alana. As the older sister, Carly tends to take charge and be more responsible than her counterpart. Alana is more creative and free flowing. Despite their differences, they love each other dearly and go on girls trips together. While it’s smooth sailing when they’re vacationing together, planning is a bit of a different story.
Performances in our spot will be expressive and quick. Carly’s calm contrasts with Alana’s clumsiness. This presents an excellent opportunity for physical comedy, in the same vein as classic Robin Williams films. The groundedness Carly offers Alana gives way to moments of authentic, sisterly interactions. This will infuse our work with not only humor, but emotion.
CASTING & PREFORMANCE
LIFESTYLE
We need a series of shots that contrast the brutalist aesthetic of the young woman's urban surroundings. For a brand that is large and known by almost everyone, it is key that we come across as relatable and not soulless.
We will craft beautiful and impactful moments of the woman finding meaning through picking up a hobby – as a contrast to concrete and grey. As they say, there are no straight lines in nature. So, gardening and horticulture provide the perfect compliment to the initial shots of the industrial subway, florescent lights, and crowded places.
Instead of withering in grey, our heroine will burst forth into bloom alongside her plants. Which of course, she has ordered from our platform along with the needed supplies. Shots of our main character ripping open cardboard boxes with zeal cut to plants growing and filling the apartment. A fast moving timelapse of a flower blooming cuts to a closeup of a bee. Of course, we will have a clear list of these shots following to stay organized. An ending needs to fill an audience with a strong impression. A drone aerial pans away from the close facade of her apartment building and shows a burst of verdant flora defying the concrete shackles of modern life. This gives our audience hope.

Ironically, the sea has long been associated with male gods. Poseidon most notably, was a figure of great capriciousness in the Greek pantheon. His domain is inhabited by creatures just as mercurial, such as the sirens who very nearly caused the demise of Odysseus and his crew.
Our concept is this – in a room built with the riches lost to the depths live three goddesses. In their den lies a golden clamshell throne which watches over the sea, evoking an image of the birth of Venus. As a mermaid sings an aria, Venus herself reclines upon the throne, with a bottle in her hand. She laughs as the movements of her shifting posture violently disturb the delicate contents within; a steamboat, a tempest, and a man.
